First game, first victory – and what a one!
Bruno Labbadia (54) celebrates a three-way game in his debut as Hertha coach – 3-0 in Hoffenheim. For the Berliners it is the first Bundesliga away win at TSG in six and a half years – and only the third ever!

Compared to the last game before the Corona break (2-2 against Bremen) Labbadia brings seven (!) New players. Among other things, he puts 24 million forward Piatek on the bench. With success!
58th minute: Akpoguma falsifies a long-range shot from Pekarik into his own goal. 1: 0 Hertha – and the second Bundesliga own goal in Akpoguma’s career.
60th minute: Ibisevic heads a cross from Plattenhardt onto the right corner. 2: 0! It is his first league goal in more than seven months.
74th minute: Cunha crowns a strong solo from inside the corner flag with a sweep from an acute angle into the far corner – 3: 0. The Brazilian scores in the third game in a row.
With Labbadia Hertha starts as if from the Corona break! Take a giant step towards relegation (now eight points ahead). It remains: the new coach has only lost his debut at a club once.
At Hoffenheim, on the other hand, there is no effectiveness. Baumgartner (28th / 76th)., Beier (54th), Grillitsch (71th) and Bruun Larsen (78th) organize a wasting of big chances. Nothing was the jump to a Europa League place.
