The 29-year-old native of Vrchlabí can reach the Fourth Olympics. She competed in speed skating races in Vancouver, Sochi and Pyongyang, where she finished third on the 500-meter track.
Czech hockey players have never played under five circles. In the home qualifying tournament, however, coach Tomáš Pacina’s charges are favorites. The match with Norway will start at 4 p.m. Their other rivals will be Poland on Saturday and Hungary on Sunday. The best team is fighting its way to Beijing.
