Good-humored festival-goers, a happy music club in Bietenhausen and festival weather par excellence – what more does a successful squat require? Entertaining brass music, of course – and that wasn’t missing at the Pfarrgartenhock in Bietenhausen.

Rangendingen-Bietenhausen – Everything was just right. For two days over the weekend, cosiness was a guest in Bietenhausen, with only happy and cheerful faces to be seen everywhere.
Musician chairman Tobias Eggenweiler was also beaming – even if he hardly found time for a short breather. After all, the co-chairman shared responsibility for the success of his fellow musicians’ traditional festival.
The weather is good, the atmosphere is good – the Musicians’ Board is completely satisfied
But he saw himself well supported, as he announced. “Everything is going like clockwork,” he stated calmly. The weather was showing itself from its best side and above all the atmosphere in the Musikverein was great, he was pleased. The many helpers who are necessary for the implementation of such a festival are all fully motivated. No wonder: the musical festival event in the place of the pandemic had fallen victim to the pandemic for two years. This year it was finally allowed to take place again.
And it wasn’t just the music club that was happy about it, for whom the festival is of course one of the most important sources of income for financing the music business. It was also noticeable to the guests how much they had longed for such sociable celebrations and that they can finally take place again. “It’s just nice to be able to meet and talk to people again in an informal way,” said Ulrike Rettich, beaming with joy. And all of the Pfarrgarten guests would certainly have signed this sentence.
Hundreds of guests listen to the brass band music and enjoy the atmosphere
Hundreds of hungry visitors had already come on Saturday evening, enjoying the pleasant atmosphere in the beer garden and at the wheat stand or listening to the brass band music in the marquee. The “Böhmischa Schwoba” played there – a band whose members come from three districts and are dedicated to Bohemian brass music. In addition, the Musikverein Bierlingen played until late in the evening.
On Sunday it was a bit hotter and the guests liked to cool off under the canopy of trees in the beautiful complex in the heart of Bietenhausen. The Laufen Music Association played the instruments for the morning pint and in the afternoon, when the guests enjoyed coffee and homemade cakes, the Rangendingen-Bietenhausen-Höfendorf youth band played. The Börstingen Music Association played the end of the festival.
Speaking of the end: With such a great success, the Pfarrgarten-Hockete 2022 with the Bietenhausen musicians should linger in the very best memories for a long time.
