Ho Chi Minh City (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Vice Chairman Vo Van Hoan received Indian Senator Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy on May 4, leading a delegation from the Ramky Group , visiting the city to promote cooperation opportunities between the two parties in the treatment of urban waste.
The Ho Chi Minh City leader hailed Indian companies who came to survey the market and promote investment in the city. In recent times, many events and activities have taken place in the city between Indian companies and Ho Chi Minh City.
He acknowledged Senator Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy’s cooperation proposal and asserted that the city is always ready to create the best conditions for Indian companies to invest in high-application industrial park infrastructure; the research and transformation of old industrial parks using old technologies into industrial parks with modern and advanced technologies. Ho Chi Minh City highly appreciates the experience and technological level of Indian companies in waste treatment; supports the Ramky group’s investment in waste treatment in the city.
Senator Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy said that as the founder of Ramky Group, he brings to Ho Chi Minh City more than 40 years of experience in environmental protection and waste treatment. He affirmed his desire to promote cooperation with the city and the provinces of southern Vietnam in the treatment of urban waste, health, industry… and to increase the value of investments in Vietnam to one billion dollars instead of the initial sum of 150 million dollars as the memorandum of understanding for cooperation signed in December 2021 during the working visit to Inde of National Assembly Speaker Vuong Dinh Hue.
The Ramky Group also wishes to seek cooperation opportunities in the construction of industrial park infrastructure; the development of pharmaceutical technology, in particular pharmaceutical preparations from nature and traditional medicine.
The Ramky group also wants to join the process of construction and development of the Vietnamese city in the future, he said. – VNA
