RA Twitter message to Israel’s ambassador to India, Navor Gilon, glorifying the massacre of Jews during WWII and Hitler who led it. On Saturday, she shared a screenshot of the hate message he received. The message comes in the context of the Kashmir Files film controversy.
The message says Hitler was great and Hitler was a great person who killed people like you. He shared the screenshot on social media but did not release any identifying information about the sender of the message.
He has also received other messages of this nature. Checking out the profile of the person who sent the message, Gillon said in his tweet that he is a PhD.
He said he decided to remove his identifying information, even though he didn’t deserve his protection. Many people came forward to support the ambassador.
Gillon said Indians have a friendly attitude, even on social media, but he shared it here as a reminder that anti-Jewish sentiment still exists. We have to deal with it collectively and maintain a civilized level of discussion. He said in tweets.
Jury president Nadav Lapid’s statement that the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ should not be included in the international film festival and such a propaganda film should not be included in the festival was a major controversy. But he later apologized for his statement. After the incident became controversial, Israeli Ambassador Navor Gilon came forward to criticize Lapid.
