Abandoned by official Switzerland, the seminarian who wanted to kill Hitler was sentenced to death in a Berlin prison.
–On November 9, 1938, Maurice Bavaud hoped to kill the Führer in Munich. Arrested and sentenced to death in December 1939, he was executed in May 1941.

The Bavarian capital is paraded on the occasion of the March of Remembrance to commemorate the failed Nazi coup of 1923. Among the crowd – many in brown shirts and shiny black boots – await the parade in which Adolf Hitler and the elite of the national-regime socialist, a well-dressed young man is on hot coals: the Neuchâtelois Maurice Bavaud. 22 year old blond, combed back with care, he goes unnoticed. But his heart beats fast. This convinced Catholic, who shortly before had left a French seminary to train missionaries, wanted to kill the Führer, the man the people gathered around him adored.
