Boeing is struggling with setbacks

The Crew Dragon spacecraft used for the Demo 2 mission is designed to stay in orbit for 110 days. The actual length of the mission will be determined once details of the subsequent mission have been determined. This is done with another Crew Dragon spacecraft that can remain in orbit for 210 days. It can accommodate 4 people. Of which occupies the NASA 3 places, the Japanese space agency will send an astronaut on the mission.

The start is the first manned flight within the Commerical Crew Program of the NASA. To get astronauts back from the USA spaceX and Boeing of the NASA commissioned to develop a suitable start system. SpaceX successfully completed all the necessary tests with the Crew Dragon space capsule. Boeing has to deal with setbacks. The flight of her Starliner spaceship to ISS failed in December. The capsule engines had not fired sufficiently. On new trial is scheduled for fall 2020 occur.
