No time is wasted at the Windsor house. And even if George of Cambridge, son of William and Kate Middleton, has only seven years, any excuse is good for him to train more and more for the future that awaits him.
A future as a king of the United Kingdom. Made up of meetings with heads of state, public ceremonies and weekly meetings with the prime minister. But also garden parties at Buckingham Palace and castle holidays.

Cambridges and Balmoral Holidays
And it is in one of the most beautiful castles in Scotland, the Balmoral Castle, in the Highlands, that George will spend his summers when he inherits the crown. Just like Queen Elizabeth has been doing for years. And as, in all likelihood, Prince William and Prince Charles will too.
The Balmoral Castle, in fact, has always represented the retreat of the English royals in summer. A magical place, surrounded by greenery, where the Windsors can feel like “normal” people and do what they are not normally allowed to do: horseback riding and hunting, for example. Or walk in the woods, have a barbecue, driving an off-road vehicle. In short, at Balmoral, the Royals savor the pleasure of being with the family. To share passions. To carry on the traditions that, otherwise, would be lost.

George and the teachings of his grandfather Carlo
This year, due to the Covid-19 risk, the royal holidays in Balmoral will be a bit special. The social distancing mandatory, perhaps, will make the atmosphere a little less relaxed but will not prevent the Windsors from pursuing their hobbies and spend time together. A godsend, after months of separation due to the lockdown.
And here, to make up for lost time, the principe George will be “initiated” to a sporting activity so loved in the family: fly fishing. It will be Carlo himself who will teach the little one how to move better between rods, lines and reels, just as he did with William and Harry about thirty years ago.

On the banks of the River Dee grandfather and grandson will spend a lot of time together. And not just to play. The occasion will be favorable to share, between one launch and another, values and traditions founders of the British monarchy. A way to feel part of the same history and the same culture. And thus, one day, become sovereigns truly loved by their people.
