HIMA San Pablo doctor hospitalized for complications related to COVID-19

A doctor from the HIMA San Pablo Group had to be hospitalized for complications related to the COVID-19 coronavirus, the medical institution reported today, Thursday.

The possible point of infection of this doctor was identified, through the analysis of contact tracing, it was in a social activity outside the hospital where he works. That activity was attended by six other employees who also tested positive for the disease.

The information was immediately shared with the Department of Health (DS). All employees were separated and all hospital personnel who may have shared with these infected persons were evaluated.

“HIMA • San Pablo Hospitals ask the public to respect the privacy of our colleague and their families and to join in wishing him a speedy recovery,” said Mr. Armando J. Rodríguez, President and CEO of the HIMA • San Pablo Group.
