“This trend indicates that there is recirculation of the virus, but we are already at a relatively high level of circulation.”Observes Vincent Maréchal, virologist at the Epidemiological Observatory of Wastewater (Obepin). More specifically, virologists noted an increase in the viral genome in wastewater between January 4 and 7, 2021. Many scientists are now taking this vector into account in the analysis of the circulation of Covid-19.
