The Central Avian Influenza Accident Control Headquarters (heavy water version) announced on the 26th that after receiving a report of suspicion on the 25th, a simple test on the farm was conducted at the Chungnam Animal Sanitation Laboratory, and the result was positive.

Earlier on this day, as highly pathogenic AI was confirmed at laying hen farms in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, it was investigated that the disease occurred in 28 domestic poultry farms and experience farms so far.

Heavy Soobon conducted a preventive killing of poultry within a 3km radius of a highly pathogenic AI-occurring farm.

In addition, for poultry farms within a 10km radius, it plans to restrict movement for 30 days and conduct an AI inspection. All poultry farms in Yesan, the region where it occurs, are restricted from movement for 7 days.

An official of the heavy water plant said, “Farmers across the country must practice quarantine rules such as disinfecting vehicles, people, equipment, and changing boots, and if any abnormalities are found in breeding poultry, report them to the quarantine authorities immediately.”
