Hiab and FSP enter into agreement to transfer surface treatment operations to Poland

Hiab, which is part of Cargotec, and FSP Finnish Steel Painting Ltd, have entered into an agreement for surface treatment operations at Hiab’s multi-assembly unit in Stargard, Poland which will apply from month of April 2021. Following the partnership, FSP will provide Hiab Poland with its surface treatment services and provide expertise in development techniques.

The surface treatment operation within Hiab’s multi-assembly unit in Stargard as well as the experts associated with it will be transferred to FSP, who will retain their current working conditions. The aim of the agreement is to increase cooperation between Hiab and FSP so that the parties can both focus on their own core competencies and optimize business development.

For several years, FSP has been responsible for the surface treatment of Hiab MULTILIFT equipment in Finland. Our collaboration with Hiab is closer than ever and we have developed joint investments. This new partnership allows Hiab to continue with the desired pioneering processes and technology. The facilities are equipped with a modern and advanced coating line for anti-corrosion treatment which includes an option for e-coat treatment. We now employ over a hundred experts at the Poland site. These factors guarantee us more prospects while strengthening our resilience. This of course enhances FSP’s level of service in Poland, continued Huttunen. The multi-assembly unit is located in the town of Stargard, Poland.
