Melle came home Saturday night after drinking and was awakened from a deep sleep by the fire alarm. It is an old building, with one entrance. “He passed through the sea of flames, unbelievable,” said friend Sharon.
Then he saw the flames burst from the roof. Where he used to lie asleep, there was only a wooden frame. ”
Soon the realization came: all personal belongings were lost. “In the past few years, Melle has lost both his brother and his mother. His brother’s ashes had been incorporated into a painting and his mother’s last personal belongings were in his house: it’s all gone now, ”said Sharon.

Help
She has started a fundraising campaign. “Melle has already had so much to process, which is why we now want to do this for him. And it is also badly needed. He is insured, but he has to buy everything again. He literally only has his phone and boxer shorts left. Melle is always there when someone needs him, now is the time we were there for him. ”
Help is coming. People have already donated thousands of euros and the local store West 29 has said that Melle could take all items of clothing that were his size. Melle broke, says Sharon. “He is a giver, he finds it difficult to receive things. He is moved by everything that comes to him. ”
