A London laboratory is looking for guinea pigs. It offers 4,000 euros (2,618,594 Fcfa) to those who are ready to inject an altered version of the coronavirus (Covid-19), we learn Daily Mail this Monday March 9.
In order to find a vaccine for the virus, lhe Queen Mary BioEnterprises Innovation Center is recruiting 24 people. These volunteers will have to quit their jobs and stay isolated from the rest of the world for two weeks. They will be injected with two modified strains of the coronavirus, OC43 and 229E, causing very mild and much less severe respiratory symptoms than those caused by Covid-19. The epidemic has killed more than 3,800 people worldwide.

The medical staff who will care for the patients will wear all the appropriate protections and will be responsible for taking nasal swabs and blood tests before collecting tissues infected with the virus. The experiment has yet to be approved by the UK Medicines and Health Products Regulatory Agency before it is officially launched.
