Here is the distribution of the senators of Eure-et-Loir in the various committees of the Senate

Who does what in the Senate, since the renewal of the Senate on September 27, 2020 and the redistribution of seats in the various committees of the Upper House?

The breakdown of senators within the various committees began on Monday, October 5, 2020. The three senators from Eure-et-Loir, who all sit in the majority LR group, all know their assignment for the 2020-2026 term.

Albéric de Montgolfier (LR, Terminiers) in finance

Rapporteur of the Finance Committee on the previous mandate, the Eurelian senator could not again seek this post, under the internal regulations of the LR group of the Senate, which limits the exercise to six consecutive years. Jean-François Husson (LR) therefore succeeds him in this key position. Albéric de Montgolfier remains, however, in accordance with his wishes, within the finance committee, of which he was elected, this Wednesday, October 7, first vice-president. A position which places him in a way as “co-rapporteur” of the future finance law and leaves him control of the levers of the budget. Candidate for the presidency of the business delegation, an honorary position of the Senate, the senator from Eure-et-Loir was preceded by his counterpart LR from Indre-et-Loire Serge Babary, during the internal secret ballot vote in the group, Monday October 5.

Chantal Deseyne (LR, Dreux) for social affairs

A member of the Social Affairs Committee, the Eurelian parliamentarian retains her seat within this body, where she will participate, among other things, in the examination of the future law on dependency and the fifth risk, at the beginning of 2021. Shorter term , she must look with her colleagues on the committee, at the end of the month, on the 2021 budget for Social Security.

Daniel Guéret (DVD, Chartres) to regional planning

The new senator of Eure-et-Loir, elected Sunday, September 27, wanted a seat on the committee for regional planning and sustainable development, in order to invest himself, in particular, on the files of road infrastructure and structuring transport, “in connection with the department”, like the concession project for the RN154. The parliamentarian from Chartres obtained satisfaction and now sits among the members of this committee.
