Baden-Württemberg

In Baden-Würrtemberg, the drivers from all eight transport companies plan to stop working. You must therefore be prepared for significant restrictions in local public transport. Particularly annoying: bus and tram drivers were on strike in Karlsruhe and Baden-Baden on Friday. Now she should want to stop working again.

Bayern

Both buses and trams are on strike in several cities in Bavaria – including Munich, Nuremberg, Augsburg, Würzburg, Regensburg, Aschaffenburg and Coburg. From 3:30 a.m. until 6 p.m., for example, there will be no subway in Munich. How many trams will run exactly will not be known until Tuesday morning. The Munich public transport company is planning that at least every second bus should run.

Berlin

Buses, underground trains and trams stand still in Berlin from 3 a.m. for at least nine hours. It may take some more time until normal, regular operation is achieved again around noon. To counteract this a little, the S-Bahn Berlin is now using 40 more trains on the route network.

Brandenburg

In Brandenburg, the local transport companies Verkehrsbetrieb Potsdam, Regional Verkehrsgesellschaft Dahme-Spreewald, Uckermärkische Verkehrsgesellschaft, Verkehrsgesellschaft Teltow-Fläming, Busverkehr Oder-Spree, Barnimer Busgesellschaft, Cottbusverkehr, Havelbus Verkehrsgesellschaft, Regiobus Potsdam Mittelmark, Stadtverkehrsgesellschaft Frankfurt (Oder), Verkehrsbetriebe Brandenburg an der Havel are established , DB Regio Bus Ost on strike. In most major cities and most regions, both buses and trams stand still for the entire day. The S-Bahn and regional trains are not affected by the strike.

Bremen

The BSAG has announced that trams and buses will be idle for an expected 24 hours from 3 a.m.

Hamburg

In all probability, there will be no subways in Hamburg until noon. Bus operations in Hamburg and the surrounding area – especially in the districts of Pinneberg, Segeberg, Stormarn and Duchy of Lauenburg – are likely to experience significant restrictions during the day.

Hessen

There should be warning strikes in Wiesbaden on ESWE buses and in Kassel on trams and buses. The warning strike should start with the early shift and continue at the end of the late shift. Frankfurt is also affected by the strike: the trams and underground trains are on strike here. S-Bahn, regional trains and buses should run in Frankfurt according to plan.

Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania

Rostock is particularly affected in MV. Here, the drivers of the RSAG, as well as the employees of many companies in the districts, should stop work until 9 a.m. This also includes drivers in the Rebus regular service in the district and in the Hanseatic city of Rostock as well as third-party companies on behalf of Rebus.

The Vorpommern-Greifswald transport company expects scheduled services to be canceled until 9 a.m. This will primarily affect the Torgelow region and individual lines in the Pasewalk area. VVG subcontractors and buses in the Jarmen and Loitz region run according to the normal schedule. In Greifswald itself, no city buses are expected to run until 9 a.m., as the municipal utilities are on strike here.

Lower Saxony

In Lower Saxony, buses and trains in Braunschweig, Wolfsburg, Göttingen, Goslar and Osnabrück are affected by the strike. In Hanover, all buses and trains of the Üstra Still are from 3 a.m. until closing time.

North Rhine-Westphalia

In NRW, Verdi has called for a full-day, nationwide warning strike. Many transport companies have therefore discontinued rail transport and large parts of the bus service. The Kölner Verkehrsbetriebe (KVB) stopped tram and bus traffic for 24 hours from 3 a.m. Local transport in Dortmund and Bochum will also be completely shut down by the respective transport companies for Tuesday.

Rhineland-Palatinate

Also in Rhineland-Palatinate there is a strike from 3 a.m., which is likely to affect several thousand commuters, especially in Kaiserslautern, Pirmasens, Mainz and Trier. In Ludwigshafen, both the tram and light rail traffic as well as the bus traffic of the Rhein-Neckar-Verkehrsgesellschaft will be completely stopped.

Saarland

In the Saarland there will be no warning strike today.

Saxony

In Saxony, the following transport companies are on strike at the beginning of the early shift: Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe AG (DVB), Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe GmbH (LVB), LeoBus GmbH Leipzig, Leipziger Stadtverkehrsbetriebe (LSVB), Chemnitzer Verkehrs AG (CVAG), Städtische Verkehrsbetriebe Zwickau GmbH (SVZ) , Plauener Straßenbahn GmbH (PSB).

Saxony-Anhalt

With the start of the early shift, employees of Magdeburger Verkehrsbetriebe GmbH, Halleschen Verkehrs AG and Personenverkehrsgesellschaft mbH Burgenlandkreis are called to go on a warning strike in Saxony-Anhalt.

Schleswig-Holstein

In Schleswig-Holstein, according to Verdi, the municipal bus routes in Kiel, Flensburg and Lübeck will be on strike from the start of work at 3:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Buses from private companies, which are mainly used for school transport, will run. In Kiel and Lübeck no buses should run during the day. In Flensburg there are no trips by Aktiv Bus, Förde-Bus and Autokraft want to put their buses on the track. Aktiv Bus wants to announce which lines are affected by the failure on its own website.

Thuringia

According to Verdi, employees of the Erfurter Verkehrs AG, the Jenaer Nahverkehr GmbH and the Geraer Verkehrs- und Betriebsgesellschaft should stop working at the beginning of the early shift. In Erfurt, there will be no buses or trams operated by Erfurter Verkehrsbetriebe AG between 3.45 a.m. and midnight.

Children partially exempt from lessons

In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, schoolchildren with a long way to school are even exempt from lessons because of the warning strike on Tuesday if their bus or tram is not running.

Verdi wants to enforce uniform regulations for the compensation of overtime, allowances for shift work, vacation entitlement and special payments in the ongoing collective bargaining for around 87,000 employees nationwide in local public transport.

To this end, the union has been calling for negotiations on a nationwide framework collective agreement since March, which the Association of Local Employers’ Associations rejected at the weekend.
