Several weapons are known to fight as best they can. There are repellents, diffusers, essential oils, lemongrass candles …

The magazine has decided to study 28 repellents and insecticides to advise consumers on their purchases. To do this, journalists tested products on two species: common mosquitoes and tiger mosquitoes.

> Apaysil repellent for € 5.90

With a score of 17/20, it offers the best quality / price ratio in its category, according to“60 million consumers”. The product lasts eight hours and is sold € 5.90 for 90 ml compared to € 6.90 for 75 ml for Moustifluid, which obtained the same rating. It works against both the common mosquito and the dreaded tiger mosquito, which is responsible for the transmission of certain diseases. Its potential toxicity is described as “good”.

> Insectivor aerosol at € 1.60

With the score of 15.5 against 16.5 for Pyrel, the Aerosol Insectivor « is as effective on mosquitoes as the first in its class (Pyrel) while being half as expensive », says the magazine. Insectivor has also successfully passed the toxicity test. However, it is not recommended to use aerosols in the presence of women and children.

“This diffuser will protect you night and day at a lower cost, with a more moderate risk than its competitors”, explains the magazine. In its category, it obtains the best mark: 15/20. With the Kapo green diffuser, is the only diffuser to have passed the toxicity test.
