Here are the groups for the European Championship qualifier against the U21 European Championship 2025

The men’s U21 European Championship 2025 will be played in Slovakia. To get there, Sweden’s U21 national team must qualify against tough opposition. Below we list all the groups for the qualifiers for the U21 European Championship 2025.

Sweden’s new U21 national team, with players born in 2002 and younger, will play qualifiers for the U21 European Championship 2025 starting in March 2023. The young national team, led by Daniel Bäckström, will try to do better this year after missing the summer’s U21 -EM with the previous generation.

But while U21-EM 2023 will now be played this summer in Georgia and Romania, so the new qualifying game will already start already in the spring. In the early hours of Thursday morning, the new qualifiers for the European Under-21 Men’s Championship in Slovakia in 2025 were drawn.

Sweden belonged to pot 2 before the start of the qualifiers, the second best pot in the draw. The EC qualification for the Swedish U21 national team begins in March 2023 and ends with play offs in November 2024. After the draw, Sweden belongs to Group C together with the Netherlands, Georgia, North Macedonia, Moldova and Gibraltar.

Qualifying game against U21-EC 2025, groups

All nine group winners and the three best group runners-up qualify directly for the U21 European Championship 2025 in Slovakia. The remaining six group runners-up will play play offs in double-headers where they will settle for the last three places in the championship.
