Hepatitis: Awareness campaign in St-Benoît – LINFO.re

According to the WHO, only one in 20 people knows they have hepatitis and only one in 100 is treated, hence the importance of these prevention and screening actions!

For two days, the Reunion University Hospital mobilizes and organizes awareness campaigns for Reunion Islanders.

The objective, to inform the people of Reunion onhepatitis.

The CHU mobilized

This Thursday July 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the forecourt of the town hall of St-Benoît, prevention and information stands will be offered.

Screenings can also be carried out by the CeGIDD Nord-Est team. Screenings for HIV, Syphilis, Chlamydia and Gonococcus will also be offered.

Other awareness actions will take place at the CHU Sud on Friday.

Raise awareness about the disease

The aim is to raise awareness of hepatitis disease and to strengthen measures to improve access to testing and treatment services.

It is also an opportunity to intensify international efforts to fight this pathology and to encourage the commitment of individuals, partners and the general public.
