England coach Gareth Southgate confirmed that Jordan Henderson, the Reds captain and the Three Lions national team player, suffered an injury during his participation against Belgium in the European Nations League.
Belgium and England met yesterday evening, Sunday, in the fifth round of the group stage of the European Nations League, in the match that the three Lions lost with two unanswered goals.
After the match, Southgate told reporters: “Henderson suffered from some pain between the halves of the match, and he felt that he could not complete the match.”
And he continued: “I am not sure whether he suffers from a hamstring injury, the player will undergo tests upon his return to England.”
The infection virus hit the ranks of Liverpool, which is preparing to face Leicester City (on November 22), after the international break in the ninth round of the Premier League championship.
Yesterday, Sunday, the Scottish team announced the absence of its player Andy Robertson from facing Slovakia due to his suffering from a knee injury, and his Egyptian colleague, Mohamed Salah, was also infected with the Corona virus.
It is worth noting that the list of Liverpool injuries includes 9 injuries so far: “Fabinho, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil Van Dyck, Andy Robertson, Thiago Alcantara, Mohamed Salah, Jordan Henderson.”
