Heavy Rain, A Giant Crocodile Walking the Golf Course

KOMPAS.com – A giant crocodile walks in the middle of a Golf course in Florida, United States like a scene in the film Jurassic Park, Wednesday (11/11/2020).

The reason is, the crocodile that appeared at the Valencia Golf and Country Club in Naples is quite large. He was also seen taking a leisurely walk.

“Yes, it’s real,” Valencia Golf and Country Club’s First Golf Professional Assistant, Tyler Stolting, told the Tampa Bay Times, citing Travel and Leisure.

Stolting said that even though his party was used to crocodiles taking a leisurely stroll in his field, he had never seen a giant crocodile before.

In fact, it is possible that not many people have seen a crocodile of the size that appears in the video uploaded by Valencia Golf and Country Club.

Interaction with crocodiles

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, the record for the largest crocodile caught in Florida is a male crocodile measuring 14 feet and 3.5 inches from Lake Washington.

Meanwhile, the heaviest crocodile ever caught weighs 1,043 pounds and is nearly 14 feet long.

In a guide to crocodiles, the Key West Aquarium says the animals naturally do not consider humans to be prey.

They also won’t attack unless someone gets too close and annoys them. Crocodile watchers must maintain a distance of at least 50 feet from them.

The giant crocodile is seen around the tee of the 17th Valencia Golf and Country Club course. The crocodile was thought to be “finishing his game” before Tropical Storm Eta hit Florida.
