The Ministry of Health has launched an appeal to the population to come and donate blood to increase reserves, before the holidays and Christmas arrive. According to the Ical Agency, the situation does not require urgent calls, but from Health they point out that in recent weeks there has been a decline in them.
The hospitals of Castilla y León need approximately 450 daily donations to maintain their healthcare. But the blood reserves of the Center for Hemotherapy and Hemodonation have decreased due to the scheduling of treatments, the increase in respiratory diseases typical of autumn, the seasonality of the climate itself and, above all, the arrival of the holidays.
A scenario that could become more complicated in the coming weeks if donations do not increase. Therefore, Health encourages Castilians and Leoneans to approach the fixed donation points and collections that can be organized by the CHEMCyL.
