Health Workers Call on the Community to Remove Negative Stigma in HIV-AIDS Patients

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Disease Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) because of viral infection Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).

Until now people still think if HIVAIDS is caused by bad deeds.

For example free sex to multiple partners. So what about the infected child? HIV?

According to Dr. Endah Citraresmi, Sp A (K) MARS, the public’s view is still negative regarding patients HIV-AIDS.

There are still many who think that those who are infected are due to bad deeds.

“Even though that’s wrong. Number one is obviously a child who doesn’t have any problems, born to a mother who has HIV-AIDS. Did your mother do something wrong? Not necessarily. Who knows, it can be from her husband,” he said via Health Radio broadcast, Friday (12/3/2021).

Not a few words from Dr. Endah, a housewife who stays at home. But got it from my husband. Many also get HIV infection but it is not known.
