Ministry of Health and Population data revealed that the highest daily infection rate and death in the Corona virus was recorded after recording 260 new cases of Covid 19 virus and 20 new deaths since the crisis began in mid-February.
A statement clarified that the number of cases whose laboratory results were converted from positive to negative for Coronavirus (Covid-19) increased to 1669 cases, including the 1304 recoverers.
He added that 260 new cases were proven positive for laboratory analysis of the virus, all Egyptians, as part of the ministry’s surveillance and investigation procedures, according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 22 new cases.
He said that all recorded cases of HIV positive in isolation and quarantine hospitals are subject to medical care, according to WHO guidelines.
He stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until Tuesday, is 5042 cases, including 1,304 cases that have been cured and discharged from isolation and quarantine hospitals, and 359 deaths.
In this regard, Mujahid revealed that, through the work of the committee formed by the decision of the Minister of Health and Population to search and investigate the causes of deaths from the emerging corona virus, it was found that there were 17 deaths out of the total deaths today and yesterday who died before reaching hospitals.
He added that 30% of the total number of deaths in Egypt died before reaching hospitals, in addition to 20% of deaths died within 48 hours of their arrival in hospitals due to the delay in their health condition upon arrival.
Dr. Hala Zayed, the Minister of Health and Population, urges the citizens, as soon as there are any symptoms, to go quickly to the nearest chest hospital or fever to receive the necessary care, so that the medical team can implement the updated treatment protocol upon arrival to preserve the lives of the citizens.
