Personal of Health who is on the verge of collapse tries to weather the situation of patients troublesome with coronavirus who resist complying with isolation. They are people who cannot stay at home because their social behavior and the conditions in which they live do not guarantee that they will really take care of themselves and the population, as indicated by all the protocols of the pandemic.

In the absence of guarantees, they have to be transferred to a hotel in this city where an isolation center was installed, in conjunction with the Police School. Throughout the province, the hotels signed agreements with Salud to house patients without health complications, complying with a strict sanitary protocol to avoid the risk of contagion from staff and other eventual guests. Those infected with coronavirus occupy exclusive sectors for their care, as occurs in hospitals. However, there are patients who put all kinds of obstacles and once they settle in place, they begin to call incessantly to the Health personnel to express their complaints and demands.

“We have problems to respect the isolation, because they refuse to be sent to that place. But there are no guarantees that they will do so if they remain in their homes, so we have to proceed in this way to take care of their integrity and that of the rest of the population “, confirmed the director of the Pedro Moguillansky hospital, Claudia Muñoz.
Currently, around 30 patients with mild symptoms of coronavirus that do not require much care are housed in a hotel. Health personnel have the concierge service that controls the movements of their guests, in addition to the rounds made by the Police of the closest post to the place.
Patients receive the food prepared by the hospital, every day; and eventually, a family member can bring them what they need until they recover from the disease.
“They ask for things, they complain, they state that they are going to leave because they do not want to be away from their families. We understand the anguish of going elsewhere, but if we have reached this situation it is because it is not safe for them to remain in their homes” Muñoz warned.
For the moment, none of the patients who do not want to isolate themselves in the Cipoleño hotel went further, as did a man with a coronavirus who escaped twice from the hospital. The situation of having to take them by force did not occur either, since as soon as they are informed that if they do not agree voluntarily, they must summon the Police, put down their attitude and isolate themselves.
“There are people who have zero conflict and cooperate. But others are trying to mark us that they do not want to do it; and the idea is not to get into the confrontation. No situation deserves that the staff be attacked,” said the hospital director.
At the moment, there are no infected people in the Police School who should remain isolated.
