JAKARTA – Cases of Covid-19 or corona virus in Indonesia continue to surge every day, and until now there has been a positive confirmation case of 108,376. The regions with the highest contribution include DKI Jakarta and East Java.

The Board of Experts of the Indonesian Society of Health Experts (IAKMI), Hermawan Saputra, said the soaring corona case has not yet marked the peak of the corona case. The same thing happened in Jakarta, although it increased significantly every day.

Hermawan explained, it is possible that the corona positive case in Jakarta will continue to increase. Therefore, the peak of the pandemic is still inconclusive.

“The numbers will continue to rise. So there is no sign of a policy that can truly restore the condition of DKI as it is all because the case has not been controlled, the corona virus is still ravaging,” he said.

Previously, Hermawan also considered that corona cases in Indonesia would continue to surge until the vaccine passed the trial. According to him, the corona vaccine that is being tested can only be applied to the community at the end of the year. That, too, if the vaccine passes the trial and succeeds in defeating the virus in the human body.

“If you wait for the vaccine, it means waiting for the end of next year. So, if you imagine the end of next year it is extraordinary. If you see America, now the case has more than 4 million, hundreds of thousands of people have died, only within 3 to 4 months. In Indonesia, now the fifth month has entered the sixth month, “he explained.
