The General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment has announced the start of implementing its plan to provide psychological support for people with the emerging coronavirus, treatment teams and various groups of society.
The Secretariat said in a statement today, Saturday, that the psychological support team held several meetings with the various departments of the Ministry of Health and with several international and local agencies working in the field of mental health and psychological support, as well as many departments of psychiatry in Egyptian universities to announce the opening of cooperation with individuals and entities You wish to collaborate.
The statement indicated that these parties agreed to provide psychological support for 3 categories: Covid-19 virus cases, treatment teams, and different community groups.
The teams began providing psychological support through text messages sent to the therapeutic teams for motivation and support (# The White Egypt Army), in cooperation with the Central Unit for Health Care Providers of the Ministry, as well as direct communication with the quarantine hospital managers to determine the needs of the treatment teams for psychological support, as well as a group From educational messages and videos on the Facebook page of the General Secretariat of Mental Health.
The Secretariat indicated that this move is commissioned by Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, and within the framework of the efforts made by the Egyptian government to combat the Corona virus (Covid-19) and from the standpoint of providing psychological support to all groups of society, especially in the current period in which some precautionary measures were taken To protect the citizens.
