Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, reviewed the current situation of the “new corona virus” in Egypt, with regard to the total number of infected people, new cases, the number of healing cases, cases whose outcome has turned from positive to negative, the number of new deaths, as well as the total The number of deaths so far.
The Minister indicated, during a cabinet meeting, today, Thursday, via “video conference” that the infection rate in Egypt has become 36 per million cases, according to the latest statistics in this regard, which is a small number compared to the global infection rate of 335.5 per million infected cases, The Minister talked about the total number of cases transferred from isolation hospitals to a number of university cities and youth hostels, by 919 cases.
The minister added that 158 cases were transferred to the youth city of Abukir, 91 cases to the civil training center in Damietta, 114 cases to the university city of Mansoura, 200 cases to a tourist establishment, 50 cases to the youth hostel in Luxor, 48 cases to the youth hostel in Aswan, and 75 One case to the university city of Helwan, 43 cases to the university city in Assiut, 51 cases to the university city of Sebbbai Tanta, 20 cases to the university city of Minya, 35 cases to the university city of Ras El-Bar, as well as the transfer of 36 cases to the university city of Beni Suef.
She explained that the cases of leaving the youth cities amounted to 326 cases, with 60 exits from the youth city in Abukir, 43 cases from the civil training center in Damietta, 57 from the university city of Mansoura, 91 cases from a tourist establishment, 12 cases from the youth hostel in Luxor, and 21 cases from The youth came to Aswan, 6 cases from the university city of Helwan, 13 cases from the university city of Assiut, 4 cases from the university city of Sebbbai Tanta, 6 cases from the university city of Minya, 12 cases from the university city of Beni Suef, and one case from the university city of Ras El-Bar.
The Minister mentioned that some recent studies revealed that the most common causes of death from the “corona virus” are related to infection with a number of chronic diseases, namely: cardiovascular diseases by 13.2%, diabetes by 9.2%, high blood pressure by 8.4%, and diseases Chronic respiratory rate by 8%, and finally cancerous tumors by 7.6%.
The Minister also reviewed the plan to rehabilitate fever and chest hospitals, with 79 hospitals, pointing out that the health service will be available as sorting and isolation in hospitals with multiple buildings to allow for a path for Corona patients and the medical staff residing with them is different from the building and path of the suspects, “Monitor” and ventilators will be added to all beds as needed, while doctors outside the hospitals will be provided housing, and the laboratories available in the governorates of the Ministry of Health will be used for surveying and sorting, as well as raising the efficiency of laboratories and x-rays in line with the requirements of isolation hospitals and the treatment protocol.
