maduraindepth.com – Chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama Health Institute (LKNU) Sampang Moh. Hasan Jailani invites the public to take early anticipation of the dangers of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). Given that it is now the rainy season, the Aedes aegypti mosquito often carries the dengue virus.

According to Tretan Mamak, the friendly greeting of the Chairperson of LKNU Sampang, the local government through the health department needs to take early anticipation to maintain the health of residents so as not to contract dengue fever.

He emphasized that if the relevant agencies were to carry out fumigation or fogging, it needed to be done as soon as possible. He considered, fumigation does not need to wait for victims who died due to dengue fever.

“It has to be as soon as possible, it can’t be delayed,” said Tretan Mamak to maduraindepth.com, Tuesday (18/1).

On the other hand, Tretan Mamak also suggested that the health office visit Islamic boarding schools in Sampang. This is because there are many children at an early age who are susceptible to dengue fever.

If necessary, said Tretan Mamak, the health office cooperates with the pesantren health team to do fogging and distribute abate. “So not only in community settlements, boarding schools must also be considered,” he said.

According to him, the information he received stated that at the beginning of the year there were 37 cases of dengue fever in Sampang. Therefore, in order to reduce the number of cases this year compared to 2021, which touched 208 cases, preventive measures from the health department are needed.

“The economic and health problems caused by Covid-19 have been going on for two years, now the DHF appears, the health department must be more alert to reduce the public’s burden,” he said. (MH)
