Pushed on Friday ends his visit to Taiwan, where he has been since Sunday. He pushed out on Friday to the Czech media in Taipei, saying that he considered the trip a success. “The goals we set ourselves have been achieved, so I am satisfied,” he said.

Taiwan Cooperative states that it has about 300 branches and over 8400 employees. Its representatives told the Czech delegation that they provide services to more than seven million customers. In Europe, it is represented only in Brussels. If she decided to go to the Czech Republic, it would probably be under the name United Taiwan Bank, her representatives said.

Less dependence on China

He also spoke at a conference on the common policy of the United States, Taiwan, the European Union and Japan on “supply chain restructuring” on Friday. The aim was to point out the risks that security of supply from only one country can pose. The mayor of Prague, Zdeněk Hřib, said that many people are beginning to realize that there is no good dependence of supply chains on China.

“It’s very dangerous in terms of the overall strategy, because when there is a real crisis, such as the coronavirus, it can happen that the veils will be sold at incredible prices and who knows if they will get to you at all and if you will not have to make concessions, for example, on a political level, “he noted.

He pushed out at the conference, saying that it may be beneficial for some entities to systematically destroy competition by underestimating the price of goods offered. He pointed out that in the Czech Republic, state authorities must take the cheapest offer. He also sees the solution in the fact that those who, for example, buy more expensive phones for security reasons, for example, will not be denied. “We need to include concern for our safety among the criteria by which we will behave,” he said.

According to Pavel Fischer, chairman of the Senate Committee on Defense and Security, there is talk of how to straighten production processes to better align with the crisis. He criticized the Czech representatives for not being able to secure the position of domestic massive production, for example in the case of drapes. He noted that during the crisis, we were found to be dependent on China.

According to economists, some global and Taiwanese companies have already started moving production from China. They will want to place it in other countries of the world. The reason is also the rivalry between the USA and China. Sinologist Martin Hála from the Sinopsis project stated that, for example, the Taiwanese company Foxconn began to quietly move production capacities to other countries under the influence of American customs and technological restrictions.

The mushroom said that it was important for the leadership of the capital to find a way for Prague to “be there”. “Of course, Prague is primarily interested in an industry that has high added value,” he added. At the same time, he noted that he thinks that people have already realized that China is not a reliable partner because it is unable to abide by the agreements reached.

Vystrčil’s visit aroused a wide and international response. It has been strongly criticized by China, which considers Taiwan a secessionary province. On the contrary, Germany, France and Slovakia stood out. The chairman of the Czech upper parliamentary chamber evaluates the trip as successful.
