The incident occurred yesterday at 10.30 hours in Selçuklu district, Yenişehir Mahallesi Hastane Caddesi. Working as an unarmed security officer in the district nursing home, Bayram Şahin came to the private hospital where his wife Münevver Şahin, who filed for divorce and made a monthly protection order 20 days ago, worked in the accounting department. Bayram Şahin entered his wife’s room on the second floor.
Here, Şahin pulled the licensed pistol belonging to his father and shot at the head of his 2 children. Münevver Şahin, who collapsed on the ground in blood, was immediately taken to the emergency room, but despite all the efforts of the doctors, he could not be saved.
Traffic police, who came to the hospital by running over the gunshot, arrested Bayram Şahin who tried to escape and detained him.

Şahin was taken to the Public Security Branch Directorate’s Murder Bureau for questioning.
Police teams found that Münevver Şahin, who claimed that he had been subjected to violence on the night of February 17, went to his family after the incident, and Bayram Şahin went after his wife on the same night and had a fight with his brother-in-law.
It was determined that Bayram Şahin, whose husband’s brothers were complaining, had been charged with ‘armed threat’. Münevver Şahin said in a statement he gave to the police, “My wife battered me.
I came to my family. It was learned that he was tormenting me. After this incident, it was determined that Münevver Şahin made a protection decision.
“CONTRACTED DIVORCE HAS NOT SIGNED THE Petition”
Allegedly, Münevver Şahin wanted to leave his wife on the grounds that there was violent conflict between them. Thereupon, a petition for a divorce was prepared between the couple. Last Thursday, Münevver Şahin called his wife and asked her to come to sign the petition. However, it was learned that Bayram Şahin did not give up the divorce issue and did not go to sign the petition.

It was stated that Bayram Şahin used his right to remain silent in safety. In the first statement after Şahin was captured, it was learned that he said “He shot me in the back, and I shot him in the head.” It was stated that Bayram Şahin, whose procedures were completed, will be transferred to the courthouse today.
