He was born into an artistic family, and therefore no one was surprised when he followed in the footsteps of his famous father Jiří Plachý st. († 53). Jiří graduated from DAMU and already during his studies he shone at the National Theater and the Municipal Theaters of Prague. His theatrical repertoire includes the plays Strakonický dudák, Tartuffe and Twelve Angry Men.

Of course, he also has movies on his account. You can remember him as Fanoš from the film All Good Natives. He also had series such as Jana Eyrová or The Thirty Cases of Major Zeman. Last but not least, he had an unforgettable voice that gave dubbing. Even the famous actor Jackie Chan spoke in his voice.
