He saw the attack in Oslo: “Then he rammed the assassin into the street” – News Ausland

Oslo – It was supposed to be a happy summer night – and ended in a bloodbath.

Barely two days after the horrific attack on a gay club in Oslo, the shock is still deep. On Saturday night, an assassin attacked the “London Club” and opened fire on innocent revelers. Two people were killed and more than 20 injured in the insidious terrorist attack.

Eyewitness Sebastian (54) experienced the horror up close. The pub has been his favorite bar for 39 years. “We were drinking beer when we heard screams and saw guests running,” he told BILD. “There were bodies everywhere, one person was obviously dead. There was so much blood. And glass. Like a war zone.”

“He wanted to change the magazine. Someone came running from behind and rammed him into the street.”

Sebastian also saw the moment when the perpetrator was disarmed: “He wanted to change the magazine. Then someone came running from behind and rammed him into the street. Another stood on the gun.”

The shooter: Zaniar Matapour (42), a Norwegian citizen of Iranian descent. The secret service classified the attack as Islamist terrorism.

Irritation about the Green boss

Party leader Ricarda Lang (28) first spoke on Twitter of the “global right” – at a time when the Norwegian police had long since commented on the background of the perpetrator at a press conference and the media headlined accordingly. Only after a BILD request and more than 24 hours later did she post on Twitter that “Islamism kills”. MEP Katrin Langensiepen (42, Greens) also condemned the “extreme right”. Family Minister Lisa Paus (53, Greens) was “sad” – but concealed the Islamist background of the attack.

Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit lit a candle for the victims of the attack at the funeral service in Oslo Cathedral – alongside a rainbow-colored sash.
