HBO Max to Stream All Elite Wrestling Pay-Per-View Events in the US
New York, NY – Warner Bros. Finding (WBD) is expanding its sports offerings on HBO Max with the addition of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) pay-per-view (PPV) events in the United States, beginning with wrestledream on October 1st. The move brings AEW’s premium live events to a wider audience through WBD’s streaming platform.
This partnership arrives as both companies navigate evolving distribution landscapes. For WBD, it leverages existing sports rights – including grand tour cycling, UCI World Championship cycling, adn grand slam tennis – to bolster HBO Max’s value proposition. For AEW, it adds a meaningful domestic streaming partner alongside existing deals with conventional broadcasters and international streaming services like SPOTV Now in Southeast Asia.
AEW has experienced growing global reach, recently securing an exclusive PPV deal with SPOTV Now for coverage across Southeast Asia. Concurrently, AEW maintains a strong free-to-air presence in the UK through ITV, with AEW Dynamite airing Fridays on ITV4 and ITVX, and AEW Collision on Wednesdays, a relationship that began in 2019 and has been renewed through 2025, marking its sixth year.The addition of AEW PPVs to HBO Max provides wrestling fans in the US with another convenient access point for major events, complementing AEW’s existing television deals and international streaming partnerships. WrestleDream will be available on October 1st via PPV on HBO Max.
