Hayden Christensen comments on the Star Wars sequel trilogy

Considering it was once heavily associated with the Star Wars franchise, it shouldn’t shock anyone that Obi-Wan Kenobi star Hayden Christensen was among those who tuned in to a new trilogy of films released between from 2015 to 2019.

Christensen has previously admitted to watching Anakin Skywalker’s animated Star Wars series to help him get back to the iconic character he played in the 2000s. In a recent interview, he also admitted that he enjoyed watching the latest trilogy of films in the franchise, which includes The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and Rise of Skywalker. Sunrise”.

During an interview with Kakuchopurei, Christensen stated that part of the reason he liked the sequel trilogy was because of how they honored Darth Vader.

I really enjoyed the sequel trilogy. I think it’s great that they honored this character. I really enjoyed everything they did and had fun being a fan again and watching these stories like everyone else.

Christensen, whose voice was used in The Rise of Skywalker, was a fan of the franchise before being cast as the adult Anakin Skywalker in the final two prequels. He also mentioned how big of a fan he was of other series in the franchise, including the animated series and the popular Disney Plus show The Mandalorian. He watched both to re-acquaint himself when he was re-cast as Anakin.

I just wanted to get as much education as I could, and of course the Star Wars storytelling continued to grow so much that I had a lot to catch up on. As a fan myself, I really enjoyed the animation work that Dave Filoni did for other new Star Wars movies and TV shows. I love The Mandalorian. I just wanted to reacquaint myself with myself in preparation for this.

As Christensen is introduced to so much Star Wars material to portray a character he didn’t play 17 years ago, it will be interesting to see how he uses what he’s learned from watching what the franchise has released since the Revenge of the Sith game. slightly different from the one in 2005, now he does not need to read the script or follow the instructions of George Lucas. With new writers and directors at the helm, this could be his chance to prove his acting skills to Star Wars fans.
