To Helmy Yahya, Atta Halilintar said that he had to drop out of school to help his parents by selling SIM cards.

“I sold the prime (card) at the age of 10 or 11 years. I went to the terminals. I dropped out of school, stopped,” said Atta Halilintar as quoted by Antara. Kompas.com from the YouTube channel Helmy Yahya Bicara, Saturday (8/8/2020).

“Mom and Dad are having a hard time, right?” Helmy Yahya asked.

Atta Halilintar then confirmed that the economic situation of his family at that time was difficult. In fact, they have to move to Malaysia.

“Wow, that’s difficult, for example we want to eat, ladies and gentlemen, install the internet first or send goods like couriers of goods,” said Atta Halilintar.

“If not (courier), install the internet, we can install it for example 50 thousand, we can buy meat, buy fish, or buy eggs,” said Atta continued.

For that reason, this lover of Aurel Hermansyah decided to sell SIM cards at a terminal in Malaysia.

Then, Atta Halilintar also revealed his reason for quitting school. Apparently because it has no money.

“I dropped out of school to help my parents, because I haven’t paid tuition for two years, so I left first. Paying tuition is not that expensive but because it’s more important to eat,” said Atta Halilintar.

But, to Helmy Yahya, Atta Halilintar admitted that he was not ashamed to ever sell his first card.

The reason is, from the results of selling the SIM card, Atta Halilintar can help his family finances.
