Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp is backing Manchester City to win the UEFA Champions League this season.
The Sky Blues have never won the competition, but they came awfully close last year, losing to Chelsea in the final. Pep Guardiola’s side continue to dominate the Premier League, winning their fourth title in five years last season.
However, the European crown has so far eluded them despite their best efforts, but Redknapp thinks the wait could be over next May. speaking to Sunhe said:
“I think this is the year that City win the Champions League, and that could be the deciding factor in the title race. It’s the only trophy that will elude Pep Guardiola at the Etihad, and if he rotates players later in the season, he won’t rest any of his bigwigs in Europe, that’s for sure.”
To boost their UEFA Champions League hopes, City have made some notable signings, including Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez. Both players are ready to add a lot of goals to their game, but could that be enough?
