Harry Potter director feared being fired every day

Columbus was the director for the first two parts of Harry Potter. “For the first two weeks, all I really thought was that I was going to be fired. If I did one thing wrong, it would be done,” he says. Collider.

Fortunately for the director, he received a lot of compliments about the first part, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. That’s why he had more fun directing part two. “There I had the feeling that I could show a little more of myself, because it was okay now.”

Still, after the second film, Columbus was replaced by several other directors. He himself would have liked to return to put the last part back together. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t appreciate the work of the director who did the job, David Yates. “I especially love the last movie. I think that movie is brilliant.”
