Harry and Meghan Markle’s names have been sticking out over the past week. Thanks to Spare’s memoirs, which were published on January 10, she has exposed various issues about the royal family including her strained relationship with her brother, Prince William.
In an interview with the Telegraph, after releasing Spare’s memoir, the Duke of Sussex said he was worried there could be another ‘reserve’ in the royal family.
“William and I have spoken about it once or twice. He has made it clear to me that his children are not my responsibility,” said Harry.
“I still feel a bit responsible knowing that all three kids, at least one will end up like me. As a backup,” Harry told Telegpraph.
Harry continued “And that hurts, it worries me.”
The title of Harry’s memoir comes from a nickname given to him by the British tabloid press. In the book, Harry says he is a shadow, a support, and a plan B.
Harry also said he was brought into the world if anything happened. “I am called upon to provide assistance, distraction, distraction and if necessary spares. Kidneys, perhaps. Blood transfusions, a drop of bone marrow. These are all made explicitly clear from the very beginning of life’s journey and are last reinforced thereafter,” he stressed.
He also continued on the day his mother, Princess Diana gave birth, his father King Chales III told him, “Wonderful. Now you have given me an heir and a proposition. My work is done.”
Harry also said that it was like a joke. “I’m not offended,” he said.
Until now representatives of the royal family have refused to comment on Spare’s book or any comments they have made in the media. The royal also declined to comment on Harry’s position as third in line to the British throne, the 2020 departure of his wife Meghan Markle and his conflicts with William, their father, and his second wife, Empress Camilla.
