A 16-year-old male student in the 4th grade of a Malaysian middle school was accused by two teachers of having “improper behavior” with a female classmate. Although the male student denied it, he was still required to write a letter of repentance to admit his mistakes. He was full of grievances and could not bear to be humiliated. He actually self-harmed himself with broken glass and was rushed to the hospital for 22 stitches.
According to “Guangming Daily”, a middle school in Renbao County, Negeri Sembilan State, on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia, recently had a student self-harm incident. A male student was accused by two teachers of not only kissing a female classmate, but also letting the other party sit on him. On his thigh, his words and deeds were very inappropriate.
The male student said that at the moment he and his female classmates denied the matter, but the male teacher still insisted that he review his mistakes and write a “repentance letter”. Dissatisfied with being humiliated by the teacher and the strange eyes of his peers, he picked up the broken glass and turned to the left. He had 19 cuts on his arm and three wounds on his neck. His body was covered in blood and he was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Fortunately, his life was not in danger.
In this regard, the Longcheng state councilor said that self-harm may lead to the death of a young life, and asked the school and the police to handle the matter properly to prevent similar incidents from happening again. The local police also confirmed that the injured male student, accompanied by his parents, has reported the case to the police station and is currently conducting further investigations.
