Even with a very unpleasant injury, wrestler Adéla Hanzlíčková won a bronze medal at the European Championships in Warsaw. In the duel for third place in the category up to 68 kg, the 26-year-old Czech national team beat Ilana Kratyšová from Israel in 45 seconds over the technical advantage.
Thanks to her second win at the tournament, Hanzlíčková won the second senior medal from the continental championship. The vice-champion of Europe from 2019 defeated the Danish woman Danute Domikaityte in the quarterfinals on Wednesday and was not enough for the Frenchwoman Koumba Larroque in the fight for the promotion to the final.

The best Czech wrestler had to deal with a finger injury she caused in a winning match against Domikaityte.
“I stuck my finger in the mat and dislocated it. But at the time I didn’t know it, when you go for the shoulder blades, you don’t pay attention to anything. When you’re done, we always look at each other with the coach, and when I waved to him, I found out that my finger fluttered. I knew he had to throw up quickly to avoid further injury, “Hanzlíčková described the moments after winning the tournament.
“The doctors started throwing my finger on the mat before the announcement. I told them that they had to announce me first. I was afraid they would whistle the match for injuries to my detriment. they threw it at me only subsequently in the background, “said Hanzlíčková, who did not want to worsen her injuries in the next duel against the later champion Larroque.
Winning the Hanzlíčková medal mentally helped before the May World Olympic qualifiers in Sofia. “It definitely helped me a lot, at least maybe some people will stop despising my performances.
