Amsterdam – She would just not reach the end of World War II. Three weeks before the liberation in 1945, Hannie Schaft, “the girl with the red hair”, was shot dead in the dunes near Overveen. Today exactly 75 years ago the life of the brave young resistance woman from Haarlem came to an end.
