After he went on hunger strike to protest his arrest, Hannibal Gaddafi’s lawyer explained that the latter suffers from several pains in his body.

Paul Romans confirmed in contact with Al-Arabiya / Al-Hadath that his client was suffering from several pains even before announcing his hunger strike.

In addition, he stressed that the team of lawyers took all legal measures to defend him, saying: “We are working on all legal, political and judicial levels, and we are communicating with all international organizations concerned with human rights and detainees to release him.”

Romans pointed out that his client has been detained for more than 8 years without trial.

It is noteworthy that Hannibal, who has been arrested since 2015 in Lebanon, began a hunger strike yesterday, Saturday, to protest his detention without trial.

Lebanese gunmen had kidnapped Gaddafi’s son, who is married to a Lebanese woman, from Syria, where he was residing as a political refugee, demanding information about the fate of the famous Shiite cleric, “Imam Musa al-Sadr,” who went missing in Libya in 1978, that is, 45 years ago.

The preacher’s family believes that he may still be alive in a Libyan prison, although most Lebanese assume that he has died, especially since if Al-Sadr was alive now, he would have been 94 years old.
