entertainment">That is what the 82-year-old television celebrity tells this week in Teun & Gijs tell everything. “It has been high on me for years,” she confesses in the podcast of her son Gijs Groenteman. “Suddenly I was never allowed to come again. I once sent Matthijs an app about it, but never got an answer.”

entertainment">Groenteman was in a broadcast in May 2016 that talked about the Commemoration of the Dead and Theater after the Dam. “I asked Matthijs if he was also going to commemorate on May 4. ‘No, I watch television then,’ he replied. After that I said something bathing: ‘Oh, is that so? As a boy from Amsterdam I would have estimated you as someone who would commemorate somewhere live.’”

Kind of irony

entertainment">The conversation went on for a while. “I was just chatting and didn’t realize that he really cringed,” said Groenteman. “I thought I was radiating a kind of irony, but it came across completely wrong. I have now looked back and thought: yes, now I see it too.”

entertainment">BnnVara says in a response that Van Nieuwkerk (61) does not feel the need to respond. “In a talk show it is a coming and going of guests,” said a spokesperson. “What considerations are being made behind the scenes is not something we evaluate publicly. Certainly not six years later.”
