The popular British-registered and Russian government-controlled TV channel “NTV” has a regular program “Meeting Place” (“Mesto Vstreči”).
Its format actually involves seating several people in a circle and talking about political and geopolitical current affairs.
Such, of course, is the war started by Russia in Ukraine, which, as far as we know, is called differently by the neighboring country.
The disobedient host of the program is shown at the door
In one of the latest programs, next to experienced Kremlin sympathizers accustomed to spewing nonsense about “special operations” and Western countries in their company, the fear of the political party “Yabloko” was sitting deputy of the Moscow City Council Sergey Mitrokhin .
He was soon invited to speak on the “Conversations on the Essentials” program introduced in Russian schools.
Indeed, it is a subject taught in parallel with education, in the framework of which children are told how mighty and mighty Russia is, how correct its domestic and foreign policies are, and how important its history is.
“Political pressure is currently directed against the children. We follow their activities on social networks, they are brainwashed… What is it for? As if there are no other important things at school!” referring to the name of the discussed program, Mitrokhin expresses his thoughts.
He continues to loudly voice his opinion until the host Andrei Norkin starts talking about the host of the program, obviously trying to put an end to the airing of a position that the Kremlin does not like live.
At one point, Norkin tells his guest that he must immediately leave the broadcast studio and makes it clear that this is the last time Mitrokhin will be invited.
Mitrokhin does it immediately.
It should be noted that similar situations occur quite regularly in this NTV program, in which one of the guests utters unflattering phrases and statements for the Russian government.
