Frankfurt / Main (dpa) – TSV Hannover-Burgdorf lost more ground in the title fight of the handball Bundesliga.
The Lower Saxony received a 27:30 (11:15) defeat at SC DHfK Leipzig and fell 20: 8 points to fifth behind the Rhein-Neckar Löwen and Füchse Berlin. At the top of the table, defending champion SG Flensburg-Handewitt (24: 6) and cup winner THW Kiel (22: 4), who were busy in the Champions League at the weekend, continue to circle.
For Hanover, the second bankruptcy in series after the 23:32 in Kiel was already in the first half. After the change, the Leipzig team, in which national team player Franz Semper stood out with nine goals, sometimes even went nine goals away.
