Hamilton’s fastest in the second training on the Barcelona track, Grozny continues to surprise

Mercedes drivers also proved to be the fastest in the second training, only this time Louis Hamilton showed the best lap time, beating Valters Botas by less than 0.3 s.

The track temperature in the second training was 10 degrees higher than in the first and many pilots were unable to repeat the result of the morning session. Interestingly, when trying to show the best times with soft tires, Mercedes pilots used a tire cooling circuit and Botass even two, but he failed to beat Hamilton’s result.

And for a moment, Daniel Ricardo took the third position, which was later beaten by Max Verstapen. Roman Grožāns, on the other hand, confirmed that the great time of the morning session was not a coincidence – the “Haas” car in one lap on the Barcelona track is very fast.
