The second training took place in Jeddah under artificial lighting. In addition, half of it fell on the time when the race will start.
The teams focused on qualifying and racing simulations. We saw trips off the track and a number of brakes. Shortly before the end of training, red flags were flown for the first time as part of the F1 program. Charles Leclerc crashed in the 22nd turn. Training has not been restarted.
Lewis Hamilton was again the fastest ahead of Bottas and Gasly. Mercedes drivers set their fastest times in the middle mix.
