Now there is more going on in Hamburg overall and the demand for taxi rides is increasing. You are not completely at the level of before the pandemic, says Thomas Lohse, the board member of Hansa Funktaxi. Operation is around 70 percent, he estimates. Business customers are missing
What is still missing are business customers who land at Hamburg Airport in the morning, leave the city in the evening and take a taxi in between. According to the traffic authority, there are around 3,000 taxi concessions in Hamburg. In the meantime, however, every fifth car has been deregistered from the company.
