Hamburg sprint aces appointed to the DLV line-up for the EM team

Hamburg (dpa / lno) – The athletes Lucas Ansah-Peprah and Owen Ansah from Hamburger SV are facing their next international assignment. The two HSV sprinters, who won the 4×200 relay world championship just under three weeks ago with the DLV selection, were called up for the European team championships in Chorzow, Poland. The team EM will take place there on May 29th and 30th.

Ansah-Peprah starts over 100 meters. The 21-year-old sprint talent was at the top of the German annual best list last Saturday at the “Road to Tokyo” meeting in Mannheim with a winning time of 10.25 seconds. In addition, Ansah-Peprah set Jobst Hirscht’s (SV Hamburg Police) record from 1972 in his time.

One year younger, Owen Ansah had won the 200 meters in Mannheim and is also number one in Germany with a time of 20.66 seconds. Both athletes also belong to the 4×100 meter relay.
